Hudson is a small, but growing community. Founded in 1887 as just a rail stop, Hudson proved that anything is possible when neighbors work together and incorporated the town in 1914. Over the last 100+ years, Hudson citizens have continued to take the reins of their future by establishing a home rule charter and a full-service government, building a public library, adding an Elementary School to the RE-3J School District, and founding multiple community groups and sub-committees to best serve each other.

As Hudson grows, it adapts to meet community needs with initiatives like the Hudson Broadband Project and the I-76 Roundabout Project. Hudson is a community that believes in the important role of a small town and focuses on amenity improvement instead of blanket expansion as its population grows.
